CONTEMPORARY CUSTOM
This custom new construction home is tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac in Villanova, part of a thoughtfully designed collection of nine residences on the Main Line. At 6,500 square feet, the home was designed from the ground up with a clean, modern look that still feels warm and inviting—layered with light wood tones, black windows, white oak cabinetry, and brass lighting throughout.
I was brought on to create a complete interior design vision that felt as elevated as the modern Tudor–inspired exterior. The homeowners, a dynamic couple with three young daughters, wanted their home to feel light, sophisticated, and effortless—like a five-star hotel—but still comfortable and livable for everyday family life. Every decision was made with that balance in mind.
From the earliest planning stages, I selected and specified all interior finishes across 23 rooms, keeping the design cohesive from start to finish. The palette leans warm and natural, allowing texture and craftsmanship to take center stage, while bold architectural moments add interest.
This home features a scullery: an auxiliary kitchen space designed for the messier culinary tasks – but this one is a showstopper!
Another striking feature is the two-story glass entry staircase, which fills the home with natural light and creates an unforgettable first impression.
In the primary bathroom, we leaned into a spa-inspired feel with luxury marble-look porcelain surfaces paired with warm brass metal accents. The two-person, walk-through shower is more of a room unto itself. The fluted, rift-cut white oak cabinets carry through the overall color scheme.
Throughout the home, thoughtful space planning, layered lighting, custom millwork, and carefully chosen fixtures ensure each room feels intentional and easy to live in. From gathering spaces to quieter, private rooms, the design supports both everyday moments and effortless entertaining.
The result is a home that feels timeless yet fresh—polished, welcoming, and designed to be truly lived in.
