Luxury townhome

These downsizing, empty-nester clients wanted their new 3,600-square-foot New Hope townhome to feel relaxed, sophisticated, and quietly luxurious. Having spent years in a beloved Bucks County farmhouse where they raised their family, it was important that this new chapter didn’t feel stark or impersonal. Instead, the goal was to create a warm, polished home that blended old favorites with thoughtfully selected new pieces.

We designed the home from the ground up, collaborating closely with the clients to select everything from flooring, kitchen and bath finishes to most of the furnishings, lighting, and custom rugs. Several cherished pieces made the move with them, and we layered those in seamlessly, giving them new life within a more refined, tailored setting.

The kitchen quickly became one of the home’s standout spaces. A dramatic wall of marble and travertine tile with floating oak shelves anchors the room and serves as a striking focal point for the entire first floor. Just beyond, we designed custom 10-foot-tall cabinetry in the butler’s pantry, creating a beautiful and functional connection between the kitchen and dining room—perfect for entertaining while keeping everything feeling calm and uncluttered.

The large great room called for something truly special, so we commissioned a custom broadloom rug sized specifically for the space. It grounds the room, softens the architecture, and adds a quiet layer of luxury that you feel the moment you walk in. Throughout the home, designer fabrics were used for custom drapery and shades, adding softness, texture, and privacy while elevating each room with a finished, tailored feel.

In the primary bedroom, soft gray grass cloth wallpaper wraps the space, creating a serene, hotel-like retreat. A sky-blue velvet accent chair adds just the right pop of color, beautifully offsetting the cool gray tones and bringing warmth and personality to the room. When everything was installed, the client summed it up perfectly: “I feel like I’m in a luxury hotel.”

The result is a home that feels thoughtful, layered, and effortless—elegant without being fussy and designed to be enjoyed every single day.
